FINAL YEAR PROJECT PROGRESS REPORT FYP1 and FYP2

Date : 30/05/2022 - 03/06/2022 Activity : Proposal Draft Submission to Supervisor Purpose : To fully check the plagiarism or similarity Procedure : On this week, the project proposal have been submitted to Madam Nulida for her revised and plagiarism checking. Apart from that, I continuing doing more research especially on the LoRa Technologies which are the info's are useful for the upcoming semester.

Date :  22/05/2022 – 28/05/2022 Activity : Adding information on Chapter 2 Purpose : To do correction on few mistakes and updating content.  Procedure : Adding some information which is comparison table of types of components used and added tabulated data of types of components including the functionality. Hence, making changes on Chapter 2 such as included more journals of Literature Review. Part of it, I did research and comparison table for the mechanism to be used on replacing LoRa. The purpose onto replacing LoRa technology with the other components available because of the pricing matter. As far as I concerned, the LoRaWAN can transmit the data using LoRa Gateway which cost RM700.00 per item. Due to this, I did more research on how to replace the existing mechanism but the functionality are similar to LoRa. Purpose : To study about software for creating an Android apps development Procedure : Android Studio Android Studio is the official integrated development environment (IDE) for developing Android applications. It is built on IntelliJ IDEA, a Java-based integrated development environment for software, and includes its code editing and developer tools. Android Studio provides a unified development environment that allowing users to create apps for Android phones, tablets, Android Wear, Android TV, as well Android Auto. Date :  9/05/2022 – 15/05/2022 Activity :  Presentation for FYP Proposal Defense Day Purpose : To make a final preparation before the Proposal Defense Day begin. Procedure : For this week, I am focusing on revising the slides presentation as the FYP Proposal Defense Day for January Semester 2022 (S1 2022) will be conducted on Wednesday, 11th of May 2022. The event of FYP Defense will be held via Microsoft Teams from 2.30pm till 5pm. Each of every students have been allocated into several groups according to their courses and assessors. The name list of students along with Assessors are as figure below: During the FYP Proposal Defense day, I have been assess by two Assessors which are Mr. Azuki Bin Abdul Salam and Dr. Nurul Fazlin Binti Roslan. Date :  02/05/2022 – 06/05/2022 Activity :  Slides Presentation Preparation Purpose :  To make a preparation for presentation. Procedure : On this week, Madam Nulida wanted to review the contents inside the slide before presenting. The content required for slides are as follow: Project Background Problem Statements Objectives Scopes and Limitations Literature Review Block Diagram Gantt Chart Flow Chart Expected Design Conclusion Conclusion : As part of my Supervisor, Madam Nulida have revised the slides and make few changes on certain parts like project background section, scopes and limitations section, flow chart and block diagram.

Date : 25/04/2022 – 29/04/2022 Activity : Creating Block Diagram  Purpose :  To described in details the function between input and output variables. Procedure : Block diagram is a visual representation of a system or process that uses simplest blocks represent single or multiple items or even concepts by connecting lines by line in order to show the relationship between the process. As for this project, creating a block diagram just to shows the process of how the portable tracking system operates. Conclusion :

Date :  18/04/2022 – 22/04/2022 Activity : Creating Flowchart and Gantt Chart Purpose :  To justify the project flows or process.  To represent the timing of various task that required to complete a project. Procedure : During this week, I decided to finish several tasks on Chapter 3 that must be included in the proposal and slides. The Methodology section includes a flow chart, a Gantt chart, and a block diagram. The section will briefly explain the project process in tabulated format, and the section will also represent and justify the weekly activities completed in order to complete the project. The task will be displayed in accordance with the weeks. Conclusion :

  Date :  04/04/2022 – 08/04/2022 Activity :  Proposal Preparation Purpose : To identify the scopes and limitations of project. Procedure : The scopes and limitation is an important findings that are about to covered and focusing on throughout implementation of component for this project. The scopes and limitations that will be covered are as follows:  The mechanism is suitable for operating the tracking device over long and short distance. In order to decide the component to be used, few aspect should be taken into account such as the component capability whether it able to operates for both long and short distance. Before choosing the suitable component, another consideration should be focus on is the battery life performance. To listing the cost estimation for desired project.  Procedure : On this week, I have decided on to enclosed the specify software and electronic components that are suitable for my project. Thereby, a tabulated data consisting of summary of variety electronic component will be discuss in accordance to the main functionality or contribution of the components to project. Procedure : On this week, I did some research on prior journals related to the topic that I have chosen such as journal on using LoRa Technology. In order to completing the Chapter 2 Literature Review, 10 journal articles or research papers related to the project proposed are required. The goal of Literature Review is to provides legitimate and correct information about the project, thus allowing to study the specified designs and outlines the analysis method.
